Spring House is available from Fri 5 July / Mon 9 September 2024 for 3, 4 or 7 night stays. Spring House is a bright, charming and stylish Grade II listed 1820s farmhouse sympathetically updated for the 21st century. The house sleeps 8 in four bedrooms and is located within walking distance of Castleton with its castle, caves and mines. Set amongst some of the country’s best walking routes, it is on the slopes of the Lose Hill Mam Tor ‘Great Ridge’ walk and is within easy reach of Chatsworth House and the charming market towns of Bakewell, Buxton and Eyam.
Spring House mixes the old and the new to offer a relaxing four bedroomed, three reception roomed Georgian farmhouse set in a stunning location. It has something for everyone. For those who want to walk or cycle in the Peak District it’s almost unbeatable. Equally so for those who want to sightsee in an amazingly beautiful county with so much to offer – from Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall to the Buxton Crescent and Arkwright’s Mill. Or it offers something for those who just want to ‘chill’ in the lovely south facing garden.
There is plenty of space for all to spread out across the sitting room, the study (with desk), the dining room (ideal for board games as well as dining), the conservatory or the kitchen. The house has excellent ultrafast 100mbps speed WiFi and 4G connections. The house offers 3 double rooms with super king, king and queen sized beds plus a twin room (and a sofa bed in the study). There are two upstairs bathrooms (one with a shower and a roll top bath, the other shower only) plus a downstairs cloakroom.
As well as the garden to the front, there is a listed courtyard to the rear. There is lots of secure storage space for bikes and other equipment. Additionally there is a barbecue along with garden dining furniture for eight. Well behaved dogs are welcome (max 1) at £20 extra charge. Ideally no puppies, young dogs under 18 month, in season or aggressive dogs please!
Spring House Farm House is available for 3, 4 & 7 night stays with arrivals (ideally) on Friday or Monday from Fri 5 July to Mon 9 Sept 2024.
The rates are 3 nights £1500, 4 nights mid-week £1800 & 7 nights £2,750 per week. (Rates are + 15% for Christmas & New Year.) (Absolutely no hen or stag parties please!) For payment we are electronic transfer.
